Dental Bridge
At Shine Dental, we provide dental crowns and dental bridge to help restore your smile.
Bridge, made up of two or more crowns, is mainly used to replace one or more missing teeth. To hold the bridges together in place over the empty slots, they are cemented to the natural teeth or implants next to these slots. These natural teeth or implants act as the anchors.
Dental crowns and bridges can do the following:
- Whiten your teeth
- Reshape your teeth
- Realign your teeth
- Repair your teeth
- They can also protect a heavily filled tooth or a tooth that has had previous root canal treatment.
What is a dental bridge?
There are several types of bridges. Our dentist will discuss the best options for your particular case.
The “traditional bridge” is the most popular type and is usually made of porcelain fused to metal.
This type of bridge consists of two crowns that go over two anchoring teeth (abutment teeth) and are attached to pontics (artificial teeth), filling the gap created by one or more missing teeth.
Why would you need a dental bridge?
Here are a few reasons you might need a bridge:
- Replace missing teeth
- Maintain facial shape
